Butler's Orchard

Saturday afternoon, we decided to show Lillie what a pumpkin patch looks like. Unfortunately, because of heavy rains the night before, the festival was cancelled. But, we were able to look around the country store and take a walk in the "pumpkin patch" outside. Sorry for the not-so-steady camera hand.
I Like Me

Here is more video of our cute little Lillie. She has found some new "likes" - walking around in circles and watching herself on video. Side note: right before the end of the video, you'll hear a little "ding" in the music, then see Lillie say "oh" and turn around. Well, Lillie thought it was the doorbell, and responded. SOOO CUTE!!

Dancing with the Stars

How cute can she be?!?!
Here are some random pictures of our cute little girl. She is quite the character!!

This week the temperature is expected to stay in the 50's!! So, we decided we needed to get some winter gear for our little girl. The first purchase...a hat and some mittens. Since Lillie has discovered how to take her socks off, she does it ALL the time and manages to put the socks on her hands. We thought mittens shouldn't be a problem at all!!

"I'm pretty cool!!" Lillie loves her little sunglasses and since she despises the sun in her eyes, she keeps them on...for the most part.

While Keoni was in town, we decided to make sukiyaki. We took a trip to our local "asian" market to pick up the goods. We think Lillie will fit in well with our food likes.

We found a cute new toy store nearby. Unfortunately, the prices are pretty inflated. However, we did find this cute bead toy that Lillie loves.

You'll also notice that, not only does Lillie love her shoes, but she also has found an interest in my jewelry. Particularly the necklaces. She got a hold of one of them after church this past Sunday.

Like I said, the temperature is pretty chilly, so you'll see Lillie's fashions revolve around long sleeves and stockings.

She is just the cutest thing EVER!!!

Keoni's Visit

We're becoming real movie makers! Keoni is in town for business, so Lillie got to meet another cousin today. Keoni came in mid morning, so we had some lunch together, including daddy who came home for lunch today.

Halloween Bugs

Lillie wants to thank Nana and Papa for sending a Halloween package complete with door covering, windsock, and Halloween Bugs book.
Check out our little winter bunny in her fur!!! The wife of a counselor in the stake presidency, Sister Frost, gave this to Lillie at the shower we had here in D.C. We've just been waiting for the weather to get cold enough for Lillie to wear it. Today was definitely that day. We got Lillie all decked out complete with white stockings. As you can imagine, she was SOOOO adorable!! Again, she looked so grown up. Mommy sure loves dressing her up!!

Last night, Keola and I went out for the first time by ourselves, since we've been back to D.C. Lillie stayed with some of our friends, MaryJoy and Darin. In fact, we have a post about the two of them on the blog. They took Lillie to the park and she had a great time.

Meanwhile, Keola and I went to a 40th birthday bash for Keola's old secretary (no pun intended-his secretary from his old job). Eleni, Keola's secretary, loves purple. So if you can imagine, the "theme" was pretty much purple. We got the biggest kick out of these white plastic cups that had Eleni's name and Happy Birthday on it. The fun part was the cup turned a deep purple when something wet and cold touched it. Anyway, we had a fun time catching up with old office drama and seeing an old friend, all the time missing our little Lillie.

Lillie drinks

I'm so excited to try this!!! Here's Lillie LIVE for all of you across the ocean, and even those who are not.
The other day, Lillie and I took a stroll through the local market place. Lillie got an eyeful at Eastern Market as we shopped for some chicken and vegetables. On the way out, we decided to take a picture by the flowers. Lillie was so intrigued by the beautiful bouquets, she wasn't too interested in looking at the camera. She was even more thrilled when the flower lady gave her a pretty yellow mum for her hair.

Today was the first really cold day this season. The temperatures were down in the 50's, so we bundled Lillie up in her red gear. She was pretty wrapped up, down to her little toes with her striped leggings. We didn't stay out long, but we couldn't just stay home looking so cute.

Here's Miss Lillie in her Sunday best. We're not quite sure if she looks fashionable or if it looks like she stole her sweater from an infant. Hmm...well, she looked cute anyway.

"Did someone say we're going?"

"I'm ready, and waiting"

"Yeah, we're finally going!"

"Mom, stop with the pictures already!"
I'm a PUMA girl!! Yipee!!

Check out my cat slippers and my cute hair!!

Guess what we got the other day??? Yes, the princess high heels are back and are being HEAVILY used. Thanks cousin Na'i for sending the boxes!!! We got them on Wednesday, and Lillie has worn her high heels just about every minute of play time since then. I think she may walk better in heels than I do!!

Of course, with the high heels comes the pink purse with the sequins. Another favorite of Lillies. As you can see, all her toys from Hawaii have taken preference over anything we already had in her toy bag.
"I'm soooo excited!!!! I just can't wait. Quick, Mommy, quick!!"

"Where's Nana?" "Uhhh!"

"Where's Ame?" "Uhhh!"

Earlier this week, Nana sent Lillie a wonderful DVD of our trip to Hawaii. There are TONS of pictures in a slideshow recording our entire trip. Lillie is IN LOVE with "Lillie's First Trip to Hawaii". She simply can't get enough of all the pictures and seeing everyone, over and over again.

"And this is me with Aunty Nani"

"It's me!! I'm resting."

I have heard so much about the National Arboretum, Lillie and I decided to check it out. The National Arboretum is a HUGE park of sorts. They have divided the large grounds according to what is growing or featured. We drove around to see what the grounds were like, and that took us at least 25-30 min. and that was just part of the Arboretum. After driving around, we decided to stop and take a walk. Well, because of our late start, we just visited the Bonsai Gardens.

The gardens were perfect for little Lillie. Just big enough for her to get an eyeful, but not too large for her to get tired. If you look closely in the background, you'll see little bonsai trees on display. We probably saw at least 60 bonsai trees all sculpted by various "artist".

While walking around, we found a Chinese Pavillion that Lillie liked walking around.

On the way out, we drove past herb gardens and a youth garden. We'll have to visit on another day. Lillie started to get a bit warm. I thought it was going to be a cool day, thus the long sleeves, but the weather fooled us and it became quite warm. Lillie and I will visit another time when we are dressed more comfortably.

After church, our friends, Mary and Darrin invited us over for dinner. Here are pictures of Lillie playing with them after dinner. They own a home not too far from us on Capitol Hill.

Here are pictures of Lillie ready for church and at church. It was General conference weekend, so we basically watched TV at church! Lillie was a good girl today!
