I have heard so much about the National Arboretum, Lillie and I decided to check it out. The National Arboretum is a HUGE park of sorts. They have divided the large grounds according to what is growing or featured. We drove around to see what the grounds were like, and that took us at least 25-30 min. and that was just part of the Arboretum. After driving around, we decided to stop and take a walk. Well, because of our late start, we just visited the Bonsai Gardens.

The gardens were perfect for little Lillie. Just big enough for her to get an eyeful, but not too large for her to get tired. If you look closely in the background, you'll see little bonsai trees on display. We probably saw at least 60 bonsai trees all sculpted by various "artist".

While walking around, we found a Chinese Pavillion that Lillie liked walking around.

On the way out, we drove past herb gardens and a youth garden. We'll have to visit on another day. Lillie started to get a bit warm. I thought it was going to be a cool day, thus the long sleeves, but the weather fooled us and it became quite warm. Lillie and I will visit another time when we are dressed more comfortably.
