Thanksgiving 2014

We decided to go to Reston again, spend the night, have thanksgiving dinner out, and hit the outlet mall in the late ours of Thanksgiving day.  It was super fun and relaxing to take some time away.

Dinner at Clyde's below.  The Thanksgiving meal was really good, and hassle free, the best part!

Then some midnight shopping at the outlet malls.  Lillie is a real trooper.

The next day, we spend it at the Christmas parade, and then the movies.  A fun weekend.

Christmas comes to the Sakais 2014

We decided to decorate the garland this year.  It speaks of childhood.  We found these really cute animal ornaments.

As always the picture below shows the Christmas mobile that Keola's mother made when he was small.

Halloween 2014

Lillie was Raven Queen, the daughter of the evil queen from snow white.  It's a series of popular books about all the children of the fairy tale characters.  So like the daughters of snow white, cinderella, sleeping beauty etc., but all the different characters.  It's cute and the popular thing now for girls Lil's age.  We had a great time.

Guess who wears glasses now?

We are a family of glasses wearers!

Visit to Paul on his mission for his birthday

On August 4, we were able to visit Paul in Wilmington, DE, for his birthday.  We surprised him by just showing up at chuch and then we took him and his companions to lunch on Monday.  It was fun.  We also went to his apartment and left him a secret birthday gift.  It was funny.  We asked someone to let us in to their apartment building and then just left the gift and balloons at his door and knocked and ran.  He was in the apartment and got scared because no one ever knocks on the missionaries' door.

Lillie's first day of fourth grade

Our big girl is in the 4th grade this year.  In the honors program this year.  We are so proud of her!!

Stake Youth Conference--Trek

Every four years we take the youth of the stake on trek, to honoe our pioneer heritage in the church.  This time around, we had 157 youth.  It was the largest group we had ever had.  It was hard, it was a struggle, but in the end we overcame!

July 18, 2014 Seventeen Years

Yes, we have been married for 17 years.  We celebrated with a trip to the Homestead.  It has become one of our favorite places to relax and enjoy.  We love the food and the surroundings, and this time they had the addition of new water slides and a lazy river pool, as well as miniature golf.  It was so nice to celebrate being together and remember how happy we are together, after all these years!

The grand hotel grounds.
The lobby where they serve tea and snacks every afternoon.
The grounds are so beautiful.
Our room.
Our Lillie girl all ready to have fun.
Mini golf.
The lazy river.  It was so relaxing.
We rented a cabana.  Worth every penny, with a couch, water, waiter and a TV!
Dinner the first night.
Bowling too!
Yummy dinners.

We had such a great time.  Exactly what we needed.
