Dole Pineapple Plantation

We also went on a fun filled day at the Dole Pineapple Plantation.  There we took a train ride through thepineapple  fields, and Lillie ran through the world's largest maze made up of hibiscus bushes.

August 19-- We went to the Polynesian Cultural Center

Today we went to the PCC.  It was a really, really, hot and humid day.  But the exhibits were all really good and Lillie really enjoyed herself.  We ended the day with a Hawaiian food buffet and their signature show.

August 2015...we are back in Hawaii

We came back to visit with grandma.  She is getting older, and had a scare of cancer.  But when the specialist went to take a closer look, she said there was no cancer!!!  She is 93 years old.

There was a great deal at the Ala Moana hotel.  The hotel was founded in 1970 and is celebrating its 45th anniversary this year.  So as a special, the hotel was offering $45 per night.  So because Kim and I were both born in 1970, we got the special the entire time we were in Hawaii.  It is quite a luxery.  We never have stayed in a hotel when we have come to Hawaii before.

18 years together!!

July 18, 2015--we celebrated 18 years this year!  We went back to the place where we had a small DC reception once we moved here after our wedding.  The place is called Sequioa in Georgetown on the waterfront.  It was a lovely place then and still is now!!  We got to show our Lillie where we celebrated when we moved here 18 years ago.  What happy years here in the DC area!

June 25 MOTAB concert

The MOTAB came to the DC area.  Kim and I were invited to a special concert.  It was a lovely event.  They put on quite a show!

June 19-21 Stake Conference Weekend

We recently held our stake conference with presiding authorities coming from the Seventy.  We had Elders Christoffel Golden and Paul H. Sincalir.  It was a full weekend, with all the meals and other arrangements.  In the end, it was all worthwhile.  We were able to feel the spirit and our testimonies were strengthened and edified.  Below are two pics from a special tour that was arranged for us by Chris Jonas.  He works as a physician at the White House, and toured us through the West Wing and Rose Garden.  It was really special.  The entire weeked was great!

Budding musician

Our Lillie is quite the budding musician.  We hope she continues on with this very good talent to have.  It will help her to be well rounded.  She is smart, and helpful, and to be a good musician will also be such a blessing to her and those around her,

Our Little Broadway Star

Lillie was in her school musical, The Wizard of Oz.  She had three starring roles.

A jitterbug...

And Ozian...

And a crow, who pecks at the scarecrow...

We were so proud of her.  She did a great job.  It was a lot of work and she did so well.

Her friend, Shelby, was the wicked witch...she did a great kob.  In fact all these children did a good job at memorizing their lines.

It was a cute play, and the children all did a great job for elementary school children.
