Lillie performs with her school orchestra

Lillie had her LAST concert with the school orchestra last night.  She did an AMAZING job and has worked on her violin since she was in fourth grade.  We know she hasn't always liked it, but she has done such a good job all these years.  We were so proud of her!!  She was finally able to do a concerto with a live orchestra!!!  Click on link below to see her performance.

Towson University All State Orchestra

Lillie participated in the Towson University all state orchestra. They started it last year and this was the second annual. It is for juniors and seniors and the students are all recommended by their teachers from the various high schools in Maryland!  The most impressive thing about this orchestra is that they learned three pieces in ONE day and put on a great concert!!

Lillie honored for her participation in track and field

Today Lillie was honored for her participation in track and field. She makes us so proud with everything she does

We got a pin with her picture in it

They had bouquets of flowers for the girls.
Dad was proud to wear his pin.
All the graduating seniors.
And they even made a banner for each of the graduating seniors.
Lillie was a great manager for the team. The coach and all the team mates were so appreciative all her tireless efforts. It’s hard to believe her high school years are coming to a close. But she has done so well in everything she sets out to do!!

The banner now hangs in our living room for now—to honor our graduating senior!!

Rags the Musical

Lillie played in her last high school musical in the pit orchestra. She did such a good job. She was the lead violinist and played with such sweetness and articulation. Her tone carried through the entire auditorium.

Keoni was in DC

It was fun to see Keoni, the president of BYU Hawaii. He was in town for a conference. Though he travels a lot this was his first time in a while visiting DC. It was really good seeing him for dinner. He was here just one day. But we loved seeing him

Happy 18th Birthday Lillie

We just can’t believe Lillie is 18!!  She has been a good girl. Always tries to please us and do well and tries to listen to everything we ask of her. We sure love her a lot and will miss her once she goes to college.

Tonight we took a few friends of hers out to Georgetown in DC. They went walking around and then did a game room called the Escape game. Then we had dinner of sushi and miso soup. Her friends seemed to have a good time. It was so so fun!!  We hope she enjoyed her 18th birthday!!

Holiday Concert CYSO

Lillie played her last holiday concert with CYSO. It’s hard to believe. She has come a long way on the violin and the symphony sounded so good!  It’s quite and honor to play with the group. Here she is pictured with a friend from her high school, Aiden Murray. He is a very talented trumpet player!  It’s good for her to associate with such talented people.

Lillie plays her violin at the Governor’s house

Lillie was chosen to play in her high school string quartet for the Governor’s annual Christmas open house. She is getting all these very once in a life time opportunities. She did a really great job!  Our violin star really was the star of the quartet!!

She looked sparkling in her Christmas dress!!

We are so proud of how she has applied herself to learning the violin!
