Random Lillie!

The weather is here and there lately, but spring is definitely in the air. Lillie caught on really quickly, and has enjoyed some days playing outside. Here are some random shots of her playing outside.

Lillie has taken on a nurturing side and loves taking her dolls with her. She found out the best way to hold her baby AND find seeds and flowers, was to snuggle her in her jacket.

Lillie also loves her bike.

How cute is this girl?!??!
Welcome to the Purple Flock Party!!

Lillie's school mixes all the grade levels and groups them into 4 colors. Lillie is in the "Purple Flock" Each semester, the school tallies points for good behavior, class spirit, and overall following the rules. This past semester, the purple flock won! So to reward the kids, they had a party.

Look at my cute girl...missing teeth and all!! There was a DJ who played music the whole time and actually got the kids involved with funny little dances. Lillie's still trying to figure out what to do.
And here she goes...
and goes
and goes!
Then there was some face painting, which Lillie decided to do on her hands instead.
Butterflies and hearts and 2 missing teeth!
Then there was a relay race. The kids got on a piece of rug and had to scoot themselves across the gym. VERY FUNNY! See the support in the back? Feet jumping in the air!

After some snacks, it was back to class. But...not before saying goodbye to the school mascot - The Eagle! Of course, Lillie wouldn't DARE touch him, go near him, let alone take a picture with him! Lillie's in the foreground giving the Eagle a big 'ole side eye!
Congratulations Purple Flock! Good job, Sweetie Pie!
This is a boring post since there's no Lillie, but oh well. We finally decided to go shopping for dining chairs. Our formal dining room is hardly used, so we weren't in a big rush to get chairs. However, when we found a GREAT deal that we couldn't resist, we took out the checkbook and bought ourselves 10 dining chairs with some pretty slipcovers.

While we were there, we thought we should look for chairs for our kitchenette table - much more everyday use and chairs that poor Keola has to "fix" with Gorilla glue every other week. Luckily, we found great chairs that we love! Yea, chairs!!
This post is SOOO old...I know, it's like the start of a really bad joke, right??! Well, this post really IS old. No apologizing, just lazy and frankly, I hardly think about posting.

Well, enough said, here are some pictures of Lillie - I think it was in February! Lillie's friend from church invited her to his birthday party - for the second year in a row. The party started with some good 'ole fashion, Pin the Tail on the Donkey. Screaming orange beanie/blindfold on, spin around a couple times...

And what was the outcome? A pretty good try for the first time playing. Lillie's tail is the ever so modern, "Tail Extension".

I could never get a still shot, so a bouncing Lillie will have to do. Again, moving shot. Is it worth it to see the moving streaks?? Why not! Here's Lillie playing a little musical chairs.
This is where Lillie found her LOVE for hula hoops.
"Happy Birthday to You!!"

Ever so angelic, waiting for her piece of birthday cake. Glad my daughter knows how to smile for a picture! Well, I guess I'm happy she just had a party blower. She could have been doing what the boy below her and to the right was doing!!

Happy 6th Birthday, Lillie!!
January is a busy month for the Sakai's. We just celebrated Keola's birthday on the 7th and a week later it's Lillie's BIG day! I'm a little late in posting. With our internet down for a week, ice/snow, sickness, and stake conference, I'm only now getting around to updating our blog.
On the 14th, we told Lillie she had 4 surprises that day. 1st Surprise: We headed to the mall where she thought for sure we were going to the inside park. But instead, we REALLY surprised her by going to the movies to watch Tangled for the second time.
2nd Surprise: To Lillie's excitement, after the movie we headed downstairs to...of course, the inside park.
Love, love, loving this dress, Lillie decided to dress up for her birthday!
After playing for only a short time, the mall had to "clean" the play area. So, Lillie decided to go exploring in the jungle.
aka, the mall potted plants.

Mommy and her Big Girl!
3rd Surprise: Dinner at a new restaurant...The Melting Pot.
The Melting Pot is a fondue restaurant that is really fun and really yummy. First course, cheese, of course!
Lillie dipped bread pieces, Granny Smith apples, and some cut veggies, in some delicious melted cheese.
The entrees were plates of raw teriyaki marinated sirloin, pork and veggie dumplings, duck, chicken, shrimp, and some vegetables.

After dinner, it was time to blow out the candles.
Happy Birthday, Lillie! Make a wish.
So the morning of Lillie's birthday, she was so excited, she got up a little early. You will see the repercussions in the following pictures!!
After the cake, it was present time!
Aunty Shelly and Nika sent Lillie some rubberbands and clips specifically to wear with Lillie's blonde locks!

Despite the sleepy eyes, Lillie was also THRILLED to get a drawn out treasure map of our house with an "X" marking the spot of a gift from Haliaka. Once we got home, Lillie was so tired she held off the treaure hunt until the next morning. The first thing the next morning, Lillie found her disposable camera and picture album to fill. Cousin Haliaka is TRICKY!!
Aunty Bertha sent a Sleeping Beauty story book.
And cute stuffed animal. (Remember the note about repercussions!)
Grandma sent a cute paper vase filled with flowers and her picture.
Cousin Katie, Aunty Nani, Uncle Joe sent a travel Scrabble game, which Lillie loves playing.
Nana and Papa sent a box a beautiful shells and jewels, which Lillie can't get enough of!

Repercussions!!
4th Surprise: Sleeping in Mommy and Daddy's room! Of course, Keola and I sort of forgot about this one, but not so surprising, Lillie reminded us about it a few days before her birthday.
Lillie had been asking about a Pillow Pet for ages now, so Keola and I decided to get her a purple unicorn.
Here was Lillie's set up birthday night.
Lillie's birthday week at school was a wild one. We had an early dismissal on Tuesday and late start on Wednesday due to icy roads, a scheduled early dismissal on Thursday and no school on Friday due to a teacher's workshop, and a holiday on the following Monday. So, on Tuesday, we decided to make cupcakes to celebrate Lillie's birthday at school. Her teacher made a little birthday "crown" that Lillie wore all day and the class sang Happy Birthday to her followed by chocolate cupcakes.
It was a GREAT birthday for a sweet girl!!
