Happy Birthday Lillie

Our little Lillie turned 11 on January 14.  She is such a great girl. So sweet, well behaved, obedient, and a good student.  We are so proud of her.  She is such a good girl to us.  We granted her 11 wishes on her special day.  On her list were things like, stay home from school, skip piano, have daddy stay home from work, eat chinese food for lunch, and nishime for dinner.  She got all her wishes granted and then some!

Birthday nails...

Her favorite dinner of nishime...

Aunty Momi gave us this cool lego set of the Washington DC temple.

Lillie gave her mom and dad gifts too...we loved them!

Lillie also got a lot of family gifts!!

First off, Lillie got UGG boots from her nana.  She LOVED them because it is something she really wanted, but mom and dad thoughtnit was too expensive.  But nana got it for her!  Lillie loved her boots.

A very very cool lego set that is a model of the Washington DC temple, from aunty momi.
A scooter from mom and dad.

Santa brings our Lillie 25 gifts. Lucky girl indeed!!

Our Lillie waiting patiently to come down and see her gifts from Santa and mom and dad...
She was not disappointed.

Walky talkies below so we can keep in contact with her when she playing in the neighborhood.
Our budding artist wanted lot of art supplies this year.
All her gifts lined up below.
Mindcraft pick.
More mindcraft...

And she into anime these days...
All her art supplies in one kit and bag.

The house is all set for Christmas

We had a good Christmas eve dinner with our friends the Williams and then came home to get everything ready.  The house looked great on the eve and on the day!

The childhood tree in our living room is our favorite.  It has ornaments from when Dad was little and has a collection of ornaments that Lillie has been given over the years.

Thanksgiving Fun

After the Capitol Hill meetinghouse dedication, we were ready for the Sakai annual Thanksgiving tradition...a weekend getaway to Reston.  First off, Thanksgiving dinner at Clyde's.

Mmm, the meal was really good.

Then as is our tradition, midnight shopping at the outlet mall.  Mother's foot wasn't doing well, so she was a real trooper with all the walking!

The next morning after Thanksgiving, we went to see the annual welcome Santa parade.  It was beautiful and sunny!!

We even found Todai, an all you can eat Japanese buffett, that we first knew of in Hawaii, but lucky us, it is here in Virginia too.
And even more fun, when we went to see the broadway play Cinderella.  We really had a great time!
