With me at home every day with Lillie, we decided that Lillie could use regular play mates. So I decided to start babysitting two little girls, each once a week. Here's Lilah. She is 17 months old. Her father teaches first grade at Watkins (the school where I taught), and her mother used to work at the pre-k/kindergarten campus of Watkins. Lillie has a lot of fun with Lilah. They love the kitchen where they can stare out the windows at the trees and birds and squirrels.

This is sometimes a sore spot with Lillie - someone in her rocking chair - but they are both learning to share.

This is Sujata. Her mother just adopted her from Nepal in December. She is 13 months old and is a little more in need of attention than Lilah. However, Lillie still has fun sitting in the Elmo chair together.

Sujata is still crawling around. I think Lillie gets a kick out of the fact that she's such a big girl compared to little Sujata.

Last Wednesday, our play group met at a neighborhood library for craft day. Unfortunately, I was so caught up with making birdfeeders with Lillie, that I forgot to take pictures. Afterwards, Lillie loved the little kids chairs in the library reading area, so I thought I would post a couple cute pictures.

Eventhough Lillie's eyes are closed, I thought this was such a cute picture of her face!!

After the craft activity, we met at one of the mom's home to play and have lunch. Lillie loved playing Ring Around the Rosies with Mirabel and Sophia.

The weather has been SOOOO cold recently. Today, we experienced 20 degree temperatures with a wind chill of 13!! BRRRR!!! After Lillie and I decided to go out to buy some rice and other things, we REALLY regretted stepping outside. Here's Lillie in her absolutely stylish Guess outfit!! She's discovered pockets. Well, she got a bit frustrated, as you can see, when she couldn't get her hands out and Mommy kept telling her, "Smile, Lillie, smile"

Here's a little more composed picture of cute little Lillie. Believe it or not, she's smiling.

What a day!! We went to friend's house for dinner and when we left, everything was white and the snow was coming down pretty steady. The picture is not very good, but believe it or not, it's only 5:30 pm! It's cold, and not that cold you feel in Hawaii...it's REALLY cold!! It looks like Lillie and I will be hunkering down at home under some warm blankets with sweaters on!!! At least it's pretty to look at!

Oh, the weather outside looks frightful!!

Here's the first snow we've had so far. Lillie was pretty scared at first with this white thing falling from the sky. However, as soon as she figured out it wasn't going to bite, she LOVED it. Lillie's first snow!!! These "firsts" are so fun.

Lillie's Birthday continues...

More fun things for Lillie!!

Happy 2nd Birthday, Lillie!!

Glimpses of Lillie's "party"

Here are some added pictures from our Christmas trip.

Lillie loves her cousin Ame!!

Lillie is sporting the ever so cute baseball cap...backwards, of course.

It's Lillie and Aaaaaaunty.

Lillie was thrilled to play with Uncle Terry's golf contraption. Future golfer...I don't think so.

Practicing her cheesy smile. She smiles like mommy...all teeth and no eyes!!

Lillie had her own bowl of chocolate ice cream for the first time.

Can you tell she LOVES ice cream?!?!

I can't believe Lillie is 2!! We had a great night. The day was filled with Stake Conference, where Keola was pretty busy with various tasks. Once we got home, put Lillie down for a nap, wrapped a few of her presents, and called some friends, we were ready to have a little party for Lillie. Here's Lillie's cake. I thought the candles would be cute since they spelled Happy Birthday, but some of letters ended up melting halfway before Lillie was able to blow them out.

Here's Lillie with all her goodies!!!

She loved every single gift...well, she's still having to warm up to the new Elmo. Notice it's not in the picture. Daddy had to remove it, since Lillie threw a small fit because she didn't want to sit by him. It might be something mommy and daddy laugh at for now.
