Here are pictures of our adventure to finalize the Chinese portion of the adoption. We headed back to the provincial offices today to fill in paperwork and get interviewed by government and notary officials. We took a picture for our Adoption Certificate, that we received at the end of the morning. While we were there, we sat in a very hot room waiting our turn. While waiting, Lillie decided to explore the territory a little. She would walk away from me for about 5 or 6 steps, then turn around and walk quickly back. She would put her arms on me and laugh. It was a very fun game we played. Of course, with the heat, she began to get tired and lethargic again, as most of the other babies were as well. The picture with Keola and Lillie was taken at the police station, where the final part of today's paperwork and interview took place. Right after we took the picture, someone came up to us and told us that the "officials" would like us to not take pictures in the department. Keola told me, "we can't take pictures with the police officer?" ha ha So strict!!
