These pictures are from a restaurant down the street from our hotel. Our guide, Shirley, suggested it to us for dinner last night. The restaurants in Guangzhou pride themselves on VERY fresh food, particularly seafood. We ate some fish last night, that Keola picked out of a tank and they cooked it right there and then. They also have a vegetable section where you pick which vegetables and how much of it you want in your dish. Here are some pictures of some of the more interesting things they had to choose from. You can see tanks with fish, eels, and water beetles. Some of the other tanks had sea urchin, conch, crabs, and scallops. As you can see, all of the "creatures" are live. Kind of gross...well, the eels and beetles, that is!
